No Quit Living Podcast

Mar 29, 2018

Welcome to Episode 107 of the No Quit Living Podcast.

NQL is a personal development podcast designed to help listeners achieve their goals and desires. Through hearing the inspiring stories and tips from the greats, we will all find it easier to stay motivated.

Our host, Christopher J. Wirth and Josh Pastner have known each other for over ten years now. We are super excited to finally have gotten him on the show. Josh is the head coach of Georgia Tech's basketball team, the Yellow Jackets and at a point in time, he and Christopher were both basketball coaches.

Josh shares some amazing secrets to how to live a successful life in today's episode. He's got an incredibly positive spirit and an attitude of gratitude. He understands the often overlooked fact that everybody goes through hard times, no matter what their financial situation is, sexual orientation, background, ethnicity etc. But at the end of the day, if you wake up above ground, it's a good day.

He shares a sad, but very real story of how a friend of his would often scold his son any time he broke a rule. One day, his son came back home significantly past curfew and he was prepared to scold him, but for some reason, didn't. Something told him not to, and instead of getting angry, they had a two and a half hour long conversation that ended very civilly and with them both saying "I love you." Tragically, the next day, his son died in a motorcycle accident and if he had scolded his son as he had planned, he wouldn't have been able to live with himself. The story isn't meant to be depressing, but hopefully put things into perspective.
