No Quit Living Podcast

Nov 21, 2017

Welcome to Episode 70 of the No Quit Living Podcast.

NQL is a personal development podcast designed to help listeners achieve their goals and desires. Through hearing the inspiring stories and tips from the greats, we will all find it easier to stay motivated.

Rebecca Babcock and our host Christopher J. Wirth's relationship dates all the way back to 1995. They went to high school together, and though they weren't friends back then, they've since become much closer. We are so honored to have her on our show. For the entire time Rebecca has been dealing with ulcerative colitis, a chronic auto immune disease, she is taking the taboo of discussing "silent diseases" like this one, and breaking them. Rebecca and Chris celebrated their 22nd high school reunion the night before this episode was recorded and Rebecca mentions how old peers would comment on how great she looked. She says that if she looked the same way she felt, those comments would have differed. Though Rebecca unfortunately was dealt a bad hand and was given this disease through no fault of her own, we can relate it to something we talk about often at NQL - You never know what someone else is going through. Rebecca nearly died in the hospital and had to have her colon removed, but is still a warrior rather than a worryer and while some would complain "Why me?" in the same situation, Rebecca claims "Why not me?" She maintains a positive attitude - No colon, still rollin'.
